So has anyone been Admitted or Blinn teamed yet????

Check the major, it might say blinn team

My daughter’s stayed at step 5 with major Blinn TEAM for around a day and a half. When it went to step 6 the link was immediately visible. The delay was in an actual step 6 showing up.

All of us on this on this board are hoping you all get it! Don’t lose hope!

Also, for others on TEAM who are looking for housing. Housing app reopened yesterday. My daughter will now live on campus. She knows it won’t be the best dorm (unless she gets in an LLC), but it will be a learning experience!

Tmd10609,
I tried to apply for housing, and it still says It is closed !
You mean on campus Dorms? or Apartments?
did they notify you by e-mail?

I was in the list for them to notify me when the app was to open again.
I checked my e-mail, and nothing.
I hope you are wrong because it would suck to have missed the reopening. )=

Mjc3264 - did you hear anything? I’m really interested in why someone would have just step 6 and no link and I’m still on 5 with my same majors.

No I haven’t heard anything  still on Step 5 and I have to make a final decision by Saturday…

well i wonder whats going on cause i saw my friend check his AIS and he was on step 6 with a link saying he was rejected. If we are still waiting what could be in store for us?

Hmmm did your friend apply for Blinn TEAM? My friend did not so that could be part of it…

He didnt apply for blinnTEAM. And if I did apply for TEAM, does this mean my rejection will come later?

I just checked AIS and there was a link on number 6 saying how i wasnt accepted admission to Texas A&M but it didnt say anything about Blinn TEAM. Im assuming that means I wasnt accepted to blinn team but idk. We’ll see what the letter says when it comes in. My friend just got the same message and she does very very well in school. Just not top 10%

^ same thing just happened to me. Not too upset at all. Purdue university, here I come!!! :)

I found out today why it reopened for her. She was selected as one of the members of the upcoming cohort for the Texas A&M Leadership Living Community. Therefore, it made her eligible for housing in Aston.

You might consider trying for an LLC because I believe the application deadline for LLCs isn’t until the end of May.

Step 6–Rejected from TAMU. Not too sure if this is rejection from Blinn TEAM also?
Regardless… Blinn, here I come. TAMU I’ll see you soon.

P.S. Good luck at Purdue, it’s a great school!

I’m pretty sure it means rejected from Blinn Team also, but I could be wrong. I got rejected also. I’m headed to Tech for a year then hopefully transferring to UT. I might end up reapplying to A&M, but that is highly unlikely. After all the stress I’ve been through, I just don’t feel like this is the school for me. I might as well go the school that accepted me in less than a week. Good luck to everyone!

Tmd10609,
Thanks for the clarification! I will surely follow your advise.

Guys, I’m sorry you got rejected, it is quite surprising actually. I thought you were going to make it ):
You should also try to look at their TAP.
It’s an alternative.

Texasboy1613,
Hold on in there! You survived a wave of rejections. You might still have a good chance, Good luck!

Best of Luck to everyone still waiting. My daughter received her #6 today and she was rejected for the wait list and for BLINN TEAM. Very strong resume (top 19%).
She was accepted by other universities but will take the BLINN route.

My son just got deep Step 6’d as well–not saying he couldn’t/shouldn’t have done better in high school, but he had a solid resume at a very competitive private school and would have waltzed in 20-30 years ago. So he’ll go off to School No. 2, be very happy, and it will be A&M’s loss–and, just between us chickens, I’m not a Howdy cult sort of girl, anyway.

Kids who are disappointed about not getting in should remember that this is mostly a political situation driven by the top 10% automatic admission silliness, coupled with the fact that Texas has waves of kids coming out of high school. What that means is that if you really want to go to A&M or UT, you’re willing to wait a year or two and you perform well, you can probably get in once the automatic admits who shouldn’t have been there in the first place get filtered out and other attrition occurs.

Unfortunately, I think this whole process is damaging the two flagship schools in subtle ways, and you can take it to the bank that it harms them with the alums whose kids/grandkids are getting snubbed by schools their families have been attending for generations.
