So I called the Admission office...(look at if you have been forwarded forever)

A college can’t just pick random people out of the applicant pool and tell them “no” ahead of time. You will not see that happen in an Ivy League, a UC school, or USC. You will not see that happen anywhere. There are deadlines and notification dates for a reason… I guess a better way to describe it would be “bureaucracy.”

USC gives everyone a fighting chance. They don’t just look at someone with a 2.0 and automatically reject them. One of the SCA applicants this year has been accepted with a 2.7 GPA. That’s the point of holistic admissions – they take in the applicant as a whole. What if your hypothetical 2.0/no EC student wrote a phenomenal essay and had a great portfolio/interview/audition/etc?

I assure you that no one has received a rejection yet. If you can find me proof via USC’s website or another user’s post, then I will stand corrected.
