<p>I think we all just like to feel like we’re going to shoot ourselves…every single day of the semester. basically.</p>

<p>I’m personally not worried about next semester. Econ’s one of my strengths, I’ve been doing very well in Latin, and Linear Algebra…well, that won’t be easy, but provided I stay disciplined I should be fine.</p>
<p>I was just kidding actually…I exaggerate a lot…and I’m really sarcastic…which doesn’t translate well into a message board. I’m just making fun of the fact that college is hard.</p>
<p>i switched my schedule around - there was a space open in the T/Th section of chem, and I wanted to take a class on law since I’m contemplating prelaw at this point cuz I dunno if a lifetime of hard science is for me.</p>

<p>Hey, guys! I’m applying for Duke this year and I just wanted to know about the registration “windows”. Are they assigned randomly? What’s the deal with that?</p>

<p>There’s usually three windows for each Class, and it alternates. I had the second window in the fall, so I had the first window for the spring. I’ll have the third window for next fall.</p>
<p>Pray that you’re never third window as a freshman. I have it on good authority from friends that it sucks.</p>

<p>I can see how third would be worst as a freshman…with everyone having to take some of the same classes and all.</p>

<p>That can be part of it if you’re an engineer or have to take Writing 20. But for most it’s because third window freshmen are literally the last ones to register, meaning all the good classes/sections are full.</p>

<p>Would that be significantly worse than first window? Is it better to have first window in the spring or the fall?</p>
