Social Life at Case

Sach is definitely right
Im a sophomore at Case and can attest to most of what he says.

Really, it also depends on your definition of “going out” two or three nights a week. If you want to go to bars or clubbing, using the RTA is probably the easiest, unless you have a DD, because they stop running at like 3am.
Thursdays are college nights at most clubs/bars, like in most areas.

IM sports are very popular, there are tons of them, you just need to go down to Veale (the athletic center) and look for the signs and posters on the walls as you walk in.

In the freshmen dorms, there are usually groups of kids who will go downstairs to the lobby to watch big games, the RAs and stuff try to organize things too. ANd I’m pretty sure there is a campus wide NCAA bracket going around, except you can’t be “betting” money, since thats illegal, there are prizes or something involved.

Drinking in your or your friend’s room is not bad, if oyu keep it small and controlled. Feel out your RA the first couple weeks of school, getting to know them is the best indicator whether they’ll be a hard@ss or not.

Cleveland does have a collection of nice restaraunts and things, but like Sach said, $$ is usually an issue.

Case’s social life is improving as the classes come in. This year’s freshmen are more “normal” and less of the case stereotype than my class was, and we did it more than the 09 class, etc, etc.
