Congratulations! MHC is a great school. From what I gather from my daughter’s experience, both things happen… MHC students do go to parties (on the PVTA bus) at Amherst, UMass, and Hampshire, and also men come to parties at MHC. I know that my D and her friends went to parties off campus pretty frequently their first semester, with the girls who were not looking for boyfriends acting as “wing men” 
Also, there are occasionally MHC parties and dances organized by various student groups where men are actively recruited to attend. Also, lots of students in the 5-college consortium use social media to meet initially.
