<p>Yes, Wellesley is known for tough grading. I have never gotten a grade that’s A-/B+ (halfway between an A- and B+) before I came to Wellesley. Med schools know this ([To</a> the recipient of Wellesley College transcripts:](<a href=“http://www.wellesley.edu/Registrar/grading_explanation_for_transcripts.html]To”>http://www.wellesley.edu/Registrar/grading_explanation_for_transcripts.html)). Wellesley says that acceptances to grad/ med/ law school haven’t gone down after implementing this policy. </p>
<p>I’m not premed, but I do know that Wellesley students are generally happy with the science departments. There are research opportunities at Wellesley over the summer, and opportunities to apply for a stipend for summer research elsewhere.</p>
