<p>Your friend’s list was just unreasonable. I was rejected from Brown and waitlisted at Yale this year–but accepted at Harvard, Princeton, UChicago, and several other great schools. And I would have told you Yale and Brown were the best “fits” for me, which I thought might increase my chances there. It’s a strange process, and applying to more than three colleges is absolutely necessary unless you can lock down a great option early.</p>
