Something you created you are proud of?

I know people who have gotten in writing about either. I think you should go in whichever direction you think could lead to the better answer. If you are passionate about computers than writing about that could be a good way to show your love of technology or something :)

^
Exactly. There is nothing wrong with going literal but if a literal answer leaves you with an essay you aren’t proud of then don’t go literal.

None of these questions are about what your answer is, they are about how you answer it.

They just want to know about me, I’m not going to write a pseudo-philosophical blurb when I can elaborate in my passion instead…

i feel like you’re disagreeing with me but I’m not disagreeing with you. If computers are what you like then write about it, but my point about “how” is that they don’t care what kind of processor you used or the deal you got on newegg. They want to know why you took the time to build a computer instead of just buy it. They want to know why you like computers not just that you do.

I went fairly liberal and wrote about a special project I did for school. It was much better before I cut it to the bone to fit the character limit.

I wrote about a Transcendentalist Playlist that I made last year. 200 hundred songs starting with “Norwegian Wood” and ending with “The Great Gig In The Sky”

I just wrote about the miscellaneous doodles and sketches I have scattered throughout my notebooks lol, that one stumped me. Like others have said, I don’t think it’ll make or break your application- just write about the first thing that comes to your mind

I wrote about a cake I baked when I was 11 years old. Well I’ll see how that goes…

I really thought about this one for a while because I didn’t want to write about something that most kids discussed. I wanted to write about something that hopefully they hadn’t seen before. I wrote about a wall of poems that I created for my Mom over the past five years. I thought it would express the love I had for both my writing and my family, since they were all written for mothers day and valentines day.

Could be anything - a software program, a plastics-recycling program you championed, a leadership organization.

Most import thing is you show leadership and initiative.

^ not necessarily…so many people will say, “I started this club blah blah…” So they could also be looming for a unique creation.

Yeah I showed my more serious side with the other prompts, so writing about creating a playlist was refreshing for me and I thought it gave the most insight into my personality.
