I should also mention this: Orientation weekend is usually very optional. Many of the activities are only applicable fora certain group of students. Almost nothing is mandatory either. I don’t think we were even required to go to convocation (I did, it was a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long speech from President Boren). Your children shouldn’t feel pressured to go to any events if they have something else to be doing.
