^^hahah sounds like i’d fit in

i just finished the book pledged about sororities, and it’s kind of turning me off (all about drinking, sex, looks, etc.)

it’s not like that at sc is it?

Pi Beta Phi…muy caliente. LOL.

amazing … a great new crop of Greeks at USC … every year without fail …

Okay guys and gals, here is the abridged breakdown of the Rush process at USC. I know guys and gals involved in Rush.

Girls:

All freshmen girls will receive a packet this summer telling you all about sorority Rush and exactly in detail how it works … you will submit an application that is much like a college application (student groups, GPA, and things like that - and a glossy photo of course) … this application will go to every sorority and they will examine every inch of your application before you get to USC

the sororities spend about 2 weeks preparing for the roughly 600 girls who will Rush - they will be about 95% freshmen - you will visit every sorority house once and then you will decide which houses you like, and they will decide which girls they like … then the computer will match the two choices … then you will visit the 4 or 5 houses where there was a match, then you will go through the same process and pick the 2 or 3 that you like and they will do the same … at the end of the week, you will have 1 house left and it will be the one that you are offered a bid at … sometimes it is not the one that you want, or the one that you wanted most, some sororities are VERY selective … there are about 65-70 new girls admitted into each of the 9 sororities every year … until last year, every girl who went through Rush was guaranteed a sorority, but that changed last year

overall, MOST girls who go through Rush (even the ones who get their top choice sorority) say that it was a very stressful week … many girls who do not get their top sorority are very disappointed … since you only get a few hours at most with these sororities, it does end up being very superficial which is unfortunate

answering some of the specific questions … if your mother was in a sorority (especially if she was one at USC) that is HUGE … fraternities and sororities care a great deal about legacies

i am also willing to offer my opinoin (not publicly) on different sororities, stereotypes etc if you want to ask me privately… a quick thought though, while it is true that some sororities do have a higher concentration of hot girls than others, i have friends who are both fun and incredibly hot in pretty much EVERY sorority …

if anyone has any questions, i am pretty sure that i have the answers (and if i dont, i know some of the girls who are in charge of ALL rush for ALL sororities) - i also know about fraternity rush, but as someone said, that is a different topic … feel free to e-mail me or to send me an instant message since i will be on my computer all day and all night the next week (damn finals)

baboking: muy caliente = “very hot” or “very horny”??? =P

my spanish teacher banned us from using “muy caliente” because she said it means “in heat.”

this is from a girl, so I don’t know what the guys think. But from the girls I knew, the nicest (sorority) girls were in Alpha Phi. Gamma Phi BEtas were a lot of fun, but often self centered. Kappas were snobby. Alpha Chi Omegas were a bit more drunk and slutty than the rest. The rest were pretty average as far as sororities go.

is it better to rush fall freshman year, spring, or during your sophomore year?
