Sould I do an interview even if...

…I have not submitted anything to the U of C yet. I’m close to finishing my essays but I am still waiting on a few things, including the October ACTs to send anything.

Would an interview be productive if the admissions counselor did not have any information on me yet? I guess this also brings up the question if they even look at your file or if they just go into all interviews blind?

Yes, an interview with an admissions officer is useful at any point. it doesn’t matter whether they’ve looked at your file or not.

Absolutely do an interview. It can only help you if you are a strong candidate.

How do we set up an interview if we haven’t submitted the common app or the chicago supplement yet? When I was looking on the admissions website, they said that you will be prompted within 24 hours of submitting either the common app or chicago supplement to create a Chicago profile(?) where you can then set up an interview…

Anyone know what to do if you haven’t submitted either of those yet?

I guess you can have an interview before applying if you visit the school or if they visit your school. Make sure that what transpires can be connected to your application when it arrives (unless the interview goes really bad and you don’t want them to remember you  ).

Its on the site.
