<p>Swarthmore thanks you! The revival of South Pacific has meant a nice little bump in Michener royalites. He donated his publishing company with ownership of his book royalites to Swarthmore when he died. The royalty income is a nice chunk of change each year.</p>
<p>When I was in Navy Officer Candidate School, one of my classmates was a singer/actor who’d played Navy guys in back-to-back stage productions of “South Pacific” and “Madam Butterfly.” About 2 months into the training it dawned on him that this was the real deal, and he dropped out.</p>
<p>We had a recording of the south pacific show with kelli ohara at lincoln center but our DVR crashed. My mom is devastated because it can’t be purchased on DVD.
Is there anyone who has it recorded who could transfer it to a DVD and sell it to me on ebay or amazon?</p>
<p>Swarthmore thanks you. James Michener left the publishing rights to his entired catalog to the College when he died. South Pacific represents a huge chunk of the annual income from his estate. If I recall, recent years have been close to half a million in income.</p>
