<p>The University of Alabama has a great theatre and dance program with a MT track. The head of their dance dept, Cornelius Carter, was featured on the cover of Dance Teacher magazine in the Sept. issue which is focused on top college dance programs, auditions, etc. The MT program at 'Bama is by audition. They accepted 8 students this year, I believe. The program is in its 5th year and it is growing. They added MT faculty and classes this year. They are doing 12 shows this year, plus other performance opportunities/black box theatre, etc. They also have a Senior Showcase and a summer stock theatre. Plus the U of A is one of the top 50 Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. It is respected academically, and has high standards. It also has some great academic scholarship opportunities you might look into, with your grades/ACT.</p>
