For A List - yes - and it’s each flight. So next week I leave on Monday so I can change Saturday. I come home Thursday so I can’t change that one until Tuesday.
The real benefit is you get pistachios - as silly as it seems and now they’ve introduced some sort of high end cookie as an alternative. And you get off the plane sooner - although every time now it seems - there’s a mad rush to get luggage passed up - because assuredly there’s someone in those front rows who is having to store 5 rows behind. So far, it’s not been an issue but even close to the exit, it’s hectic getting off.
And another A List perk, if you buy a Choice Ticket ($30-50 more than base - fortunately this is what my company buys but I don’t personally) - I can go on at midnight b4 and confirm any other flight - so next week, it was $650 to fly to Charlotte and back from Raleigh on the normal non stop - which is nuts. Raleigh is an hour and four minute flight but I can’t do it to the company but I am flying back through Midway…out of the way. But at midnight, the night prior, if all goes as planned, I’ll confirm on the 4:40 nonstop - but if not I’m screwed - but that’s to get - not a reasonable price but less highway robbery - it was $450 on what used to be a $250-300 ticket - and oh, we’ve banned travel (for now) starting in October. I wonder if other companies will do similarly due to expense
Choice is also better for cancelling - vs. the basic which gives you only 6 months to use your funds.
