So am I It’s kind of hard to say…that depends I guess. Do you have an idea of what classes you might take your freshman year? Obviously you’ll have to take chem and bio the entire year, but that leaves you some room to pick a class or two each quarter. You’ll probably take writing (how many quarters depends on which writing class you’re placed in).

I’ll be taking Spanish the entire year my junior year, which is pretty late in the game, but it has turned out to work out pretty well. As you finish your bio core and general eduction, it gets kind of hard to find upper division classes since they fill up so fast. Spanish became a save for me since you need 12 units to be a full time student, and Spanish guaranteed me at least one class the entire year. So if you wanna go that route I’d say it’s working well for me. Otherwise, I’d recommend taking it your freshman year because sophomore year is a killer for most people since you have to take molecular biology, biochemistry and organic chemistry.
