@MaineLonghorn — Congrats on the 13.5 hours of work! That must feel good, knowing you are earning for your household.
I hope Jamaica provides a great reset and refresh for you and your H and the other couple!

I read that article yesterday and thought I should share it … somewhere … but didn’t get around to it. I’m glad you did, @Leaper12 ! Really tender and beautiful.
I’m going to be a regular in this thread, I think. Thanks for starting it, @MaineLonghorn . I’ve been caring for my DH at home for close to a year. His brain is as sharp as ever (and he likes to talk as much as ever – retired professor!) but the body is failing. I need to do so much for him, physically, and I’m no spring chicken either. It’s tough, even with home help. Glad you all are here.
If only we could combine your husband’s mental sharpness and my husband’s physical fitness! He runs 2 1/2 to 3 miles 5 times a week. He looks a lot younger than 72.
It looks like he will finish the engineering drawings he’s been working on forever. I will draft what he has sketched. I told him this time I want him to doublecheck all his work carefully before he gives me anything to draw. We’ll see how he does. He has disability insurance that I think he could collect - it’s good until he’s 75. It’s weird, you have to be working in order to apply, but then you have to prove you can’t work. I can’t do anything until (if) he gets a diagnosis, so I’ll worry about it later. Anyway, the point is I will keep a record of items he misses on the project.
