<p>Morganc, my daughter was initially admitted for spring but ended up starting in the fall. She was not really sure she wanted to wait to start college in the spring. She let Whitman know she really wanted to come in the fall, but would come in the Spring if she didn’t get in for the fall (although she was not committed to doing it and had a back-up plan of sorts). She found out that she could go in the fall pretty early in May. She knows several people who did amazing things in the fall, started in the spring, and made a great transition. I’m sure it’s not the easiest way to start college, but it seems to work out at Whitman. You start Core in the spring, and do the second semester the following fall with the other Spring admits (called Jan Starts).</p>
