Hey guys! Ill be applying for transfer admission to UT next year and was wondering if anyone could chance me!
-3.6 GPA (very lowest)
-30 hrs. of transferable credit
-3 good LORs (atleast)
-Extracurriculars involve participating in a summer internship/Research project with a radiation oncologist and a Cardiologist for 2 years straight.
-Participating in other clubs and Student body government.
-I am going to be starting my own club in which a team and I go to impoverished counteries and help gove blood work. (Just a basic idea as of now).
Would really appreciate if anyone can help!
Has anyone who has been admitted heard anything back on financial aid yet?
I applied for austomatic transfer admittance to UT for this fall, which is if you graduate within the top 10% of your high school class and complete the core curriculum at a community college instate, then you get automatic transfer acceptance to COLA undeclared. Anyways, I submitted my transcript from ACC once grades were completed at the end of this semester but I’m not sure if that will indicate that I’ve completed my core curriculum, or if I need to request an additional statement. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.
@britni12 im from the university of Arkansas. ts just a lot of my core classes dont count. ive taken a lot of math and science classes which i will have to re take since they want a different class.

@UARK18 Well, that was exactly the news I DIDN’T want to hear… ugh. I really don’t want to take my 2 Bio classes over, they were quite difficult… I was hoping to move forward in my Bio classes… fingers crossed!

@UTHopeful1986 i heard from mine! i got loans and a very small amount in grants. trying to figure it out… on one page I have an amount for a grant from UT, and from another page it says something else. ahh!
Oh man that is confusing! I’m glad it doesn’t take too long. I am fearful if I get in, that I won’t have much time to get all my ducks in a row before classes start. I’m still hopeful! If I do get in, I’m up for attending orientation. It would be nice to have someone somewhat familiar and make a new friend!

Hi guys, I applied to transfer into UT’s COLA for Economics (first) and government (second). Could anyone chance me please?
- I have 4.0 from UNT with 42 credit hours.
- 1800 SAT
- 2 LORs from my English and Econ professors
- 3 essays with pretty decent quality
- Extensive community service and extracurriculars in HS, and a little in college
I sent my transcript on Wednesday and on the “My Documents” tab, it says they received it on that day. My home screen changed a little and now it only has the manage my documents tab and no longer the tab to upload my transcript but it still says to upload my transcript on the top. Does anyone know how long it takes after you send your transcripts for your status to change to complete and then to in review? Thanks a bunch!

Hey guys can someone help me? I took a dual credit course in high school (that I should not have done) and didn’t do well in it that I didn’t even receive credit for it. I had to retake it the following year at my high school and got an A. Do you know how UT will look at this? If this is calculated into my current college gpa then there is no way I am getting in :((
@Ltctjk they will look at it and factor it in but since you took it in high school and retook it to get an A they shouldn’t be too harsh.
@Newsie2015 so do you know if they just add that gpa together with my current college fpa and thats it or will they look at it separately. It just kills me to think a class I took as a junior is going to keep me from transferring,

hey i have question, so I thought I was going to get all A’s for this past spring semester but I ended up getting a B somehow (still confused, will ask instructor) and even though its unofficial, it might be my official grade, and i was just wondering if I should send in my spring grades anyway, i have over 30 hrs, so they may not need it. Im just wondering because I had all A’s this past fall semester and I don’t want the B to taint it (my GPA is already on the lower side :((
@blue1996 They will solicit your grades themselves if they want them. Did they ask you for your updated transcript on mystatus? If not then they have all the info they need on you to make an admissions decision.
Once accepted, you will be asked to submit your final semester’s official transcript via mail.
