Nope. I’m writing to appeal my application. I can’t accept that the GPA cutoff was seriously .03 above my own.
@ChaosFromTejas Unless something on your application changes, appeals generally get rejected. Writing in that “I really think I deserve this” always gets denied. Your GPA changing is generally the only thing that you can stand on for appeals or if someone made a mistake on your application. Someone else got admission in April to Aerospace Engineering with a lower GPA than you, so your GPA likely isn’t the culprit.

@ChaosFromTejas Just a tidbit of info… GPA isn’t the most important thing, from what I’ve seen. Your essays and personal achievement outside of academics can make a huge impression. You could try applying again and changing your topics around a bit, maybe?

My stats:
Attending ACC, 4.0 GPA, completed Cal 2 and Engineering Physics 1 last semester and updated my application with new grades 19th of last month. I am a veteran with experience in the electronics field, 3 letters of rec and 2 strong essays.

I stalked this thread a little while during the waiting process, so thought I would register and contribute if it helps. Accepted into first choice this morning, Electrical Engineering.
Transferred from ACC, 51 credits completed, 8 in progress (Calc 3 and Eng Phys 2)
4.0 GPA
two LOR (One from math teacher, one from volunteer work)
3 essays
10 years work experience, bartending, auto repair, and owning a small business
High school GPA was 2.something
Turned in SAT scores, even though they werent needed, 2190 (I had already taken it for application elsewhere)

Looks like Cockrell is sending out their decisions more so today. CNS is next week.

@Clintonwk I am making an educated guess. Lol. The last date for acceptance on newsies list was the 5th and may 26 before that. So, I’m guessing next week they will start rolling decisions out again.
A CAP student from UTA was admitted into Civil Engineering today
looks like Cockrell is starting to get the ball rolling as far as admissions goes. I’m assuming McCombs will be last (Just my guess)
