Spring/Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

I am waiting on moody - for RTF and journalism

I’m waiting on COE Health Promotion and Applied Movement Science

I just called admissions because I had a question about something I filled out on applytexas (I called the Houston UT Austin admissions center) they said by the 15th to hear back would be the absolute earliest, but it could take till the end of the month. (cringe)

@longhornnation5 I got it two days after being accepted

@DestineeMoreh didn’t you get your FA package two days after being accepted too?

@ReverseCremation ok, i was accepted thursday so business days wise, this is two days after my acceptance and haven’t received anything. when i click on the financial aid tab it says your file is being processed, check back in two weeks. is that what yours said as well?

@longhornnation5 I got an email telling me to check my Financial Aid on CASH so I could accept the offer.

@sailorvenus when does your FA disperse?

Well, today was disappointing. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

@NosyParent16 someone earlier said they called admissions and was told to expect June 15 at the earliest, if not towards the end of the month. >:(

@Newsie2015 on the FAQ it says funds will disburse no earlier than 10 days before the first day of class assuming you’ve completed all requirements to receive them. For others it might depend. I got offered work study so I probably won’t get any of that til I’ve found a job.

I’ve called UT Admissions about a dozen times now and June 15th is a hard deadline according to them. Not sure where you all are getting the rest of the info. Been reading this post for awhile but never made an account till now

I think it’s safe to assume admissions is unreliable.

I mean the orientation is gonna be in july they not screw us. Hopefully they send this week cause last year it was released by 17th

@longhornnation5 Naw, they just sent me an email two days after I was accepted. I got accepted on Friday and my financial aid came through on Sunday, so I don’t think business days apply.

@LonghornHopefull they tweeted themselves tha “june 15 is just a guidline” and last year answers came out as late as June 25.

From my observations, Monday seems like a dull day for decisions. T-TR seems to be the best time. I just hope they stick to the 15th for at least most of us; I have orientation at my next choice school in a week and a half, and it would be nice to know if I need to cancel and refund my money in advance.

Have they sent out rejections a week or so after the June 15 deadline in the past? I feel like it’s unrealistic to have the “if they wanted to reject me they would have by now” mentality but that’s what is keeping me sane after being in review for 3 months.

One thing is certain - the longer we wait, the closer we get. This is how I’ve found comfort.

the wait is actually giving me so much anxiety. it has me guessing, and refreshing the page, and up at night…i don’t like it at all at this point i just want to know what my plan is. it has been a tough couple of weeks…
