Spring/Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

@Clintonwk I’m open to anything too.

@texaslonghorn12 @rach98n my post was a bit confusing. I attended a community college for my first two years of college. In highschool I was top 8% so I had automatic admission to both A&M and UT as a transfer, however I was not guaranteed entrance into the major I wanted. At UT I did not get into my major of choice, but I had automatic acceptance as a transfer into the general school under senate bill 175. At A&M I got into the civil engineering program for the upcoming fall semester and have already attended orientation and signed a lease. So I will be finishing up my studies there (A&M).

I didn’t know CAP hears back first over regular external transfers. Was it always like this?

Can a non CAP student be offered COLA Undeclared, even if that was not their first or second choice major? Does UT just offer this anyway if you were denied your major?

@UTHopeful1986 I think you have to be either CAP or and Auto admit for that to happen bc both these types of transfers are guaranteed admission, just not guaranteed the major you want.

Yes I was not a CAP student, but was an auto admit and was offered COLA undeclared. I think a few people who were neither have also been offered it though.

Do you think we will actually know the decision by tomorrow?

Why are we the last ones standing this sucks.

Thanks yall. @st1996 I really am not feeling confident about hearing a response tomorrow! :frowning:

guys there are a lot of us still not sure hang in there!

Hello everyone. After creeping on the forum for some time, I finally decided to make an account. Like some of y’all, I’m still waiting for my decisions to Cockrell for mechanical engineering. Hoping to hear good news very soon!!

I originally did get accepted into the CAP program but wanted to go to a college closer to home…kinda regret everything now…

Do they release decisions after hours?

It’s only 4pm here in Texas, so give it some more time for today. Maybe, there will be a serious wave at 5pm??

@st1996 ?

Like do they release decisions after 5pm

A few weeks ago, people were getting decisions around 8-10pm. But, I’m not getting my hopes up lol

Ya many decisions were released at 5 p.m only I know of internal but thats a good time to check again.

I’M ON EDGE

Is anyone here still waiting on Cockrell? If so what is your major and Gpa?
