heard its one of the hardest schools to transfer into so i just want to get it over with asap
Sorry, I was excited so I went out and celebrated a little bit. My stats:
-GPA: 3.13-3.19 depending on if they accepted a class(My Audit isn’t working) But I sent in my spring grades which bumped my GPA to a 3.3.
-In state student from a local CC.
-LOR: 2 Supervisor recommendations, and 1 distinguished alumni recommendation.
-50 hours community service listed on resume.
-Pretty solid Essays (3) discussing hardships (Single parent mom, poverty, etc)
-lots of work experience listed on my resume.
-If this matters, I’ve visited UT numerous times.
@dumbcollegekid With regards to internal transfer:
You must take 24-26 residential hours before being eligible to internally transfer. Don’t know the exact amount but it basically means you must wait a whole year at UT before being able to transfer internally and even then you still aren’t guaranteed your major. So make sure you keep your grades up your first year to ensure maximum chances of internally transferring cause if you dont you might have to wait a whole other year.
Hi all! I got accepted to my second choice of COLA Government today at around 8 pm. My GPA was a 3.7, I had 2 essays, 0 LOR and 45 hours! I didn’t get into my first choice Moody- Political Communication, but I’m going to attempt to internally transfer to just PR next year!

@Clintonwk , I only don’t think I wanted to do something more in my life than to go to UT. This feeling of anticipation is dreadful!!
So it seems that most COLA applicants heard back today, even those who had a COLA major as a second choice. My second choice is COLA Philosophy, but I’m still in review. So I’m now kind of thinking that this means I’m either in CNS, or out altogether. But I’m probably just reading too far into it due to my wait-induced insanity…
God, UT…put me out of my misery already.
@Clintonwk i would take it as a good thing that you have not been denied yet. They’re not gonna leave people waiting in the wings this long if they weren’t trying to find a spot for them! Have faith it will all work out!

Random question, who is STILL waiting for an answer? This is getting ridiculous.
Also a friend said he found out around 1:30 AM today (June 16). Does this mean that they’re working overtime to make sure they don’t mess up as badly as last year? Either way, I’m still in review.
@cherry018 earlier today someone posted on this thread that a lady in admissions said they did not have a predetermined stopping time for posting decisions tonight, so yes I wouldn’t be surprised if they were working overtime right now.
Part of me wonders if all decisions have been made and now we are just waiting on them to go through all applicants and actually post the decisions to MyStatus.
I’m still waiting to hear back from McCombs…I’m getting worried now that a majority of people are already in.
I got accepted in COLA last night…so now my sister and I are in.
Now we are just waiting to hear back for my little brother… I am a little worry but at the same time optimism about him
@Clintonwk I checked and I’m still in review. It’s already the morning of the 16th. I don’t want to stay positive anymore because I’m beyond pissed as hell. I am the last CAP student in my group of friends to hear back…yet I was one of the first ones to have my application complete. Ugh!
Good Morning friends. I am still in review this morning as well. I was hoping to wake up to good news 
Still hopeful and optimistic. Maybe today will be THE day for me. Still praying for all of us still waiting for answers. Stay distracted today, hopefully that will lighten the load of worry.
Called admissions this morning the lady said that we should start expecting decisions “any minute now” not quite sure what that means but that is any update
