CAP Student here with 3.7 GPA, will be majoring in Economics
@mintpopsicles I apologize. I did not use the document upload. I had my community college send them electronically. I got mixed up because my school uses a system kind of like that. But I keep checking “Mystatus” to see if it has updated there. Sorry for the confusion.
Well… I guess my lists weren’t good enough… @Newsie2015
I had all details of everyone’s application on them too, but I’m not going to continue if someone else is going to make a list, would be overkill.
@britni12 Oh sorry. I didn’t notice you had lists until after I already finished it. Feel free to let me know if you think I’m missing anything important and I can include it.
waiting oh waiting oh waiting…
@jimpgz123 I’ll add you to the list. What your GPA and how many hours do you have?
I’m going to try and update the list one or twice a day as we are about to get a wave of decisions coming soon.
@Newsie2015 you can add me to that list too, still waiting. 1st choice ECE, 2nd choice CS. 67 hours, GPA 3.76, 2 LOR, 2 essays. 400 hours of volunteer service building homes in Northern Mexico primarily planning electrical for new builds.
Hey guys, I am just wondering if it is impossible for external transfer students to be accepted by McCombs. I am an out-of-state transfer applicant…

@Newsie2015 Hey you can add me too
I’m going to be a sophomore and I applied to Moody for journalism with 30 hours, because 15 were from college and 15 from AP. I had a 3.6 my first semester and I now have a 3.8. I wrote 2 strong essays and I have 2 LoRs and a decent resume.
I wrote for the North Texas Daily my entire freshman year at UNT, and I was in the Society of Professional Journalists. In hs I was editor-in-chief of the paper, was in National Honor Society and did 180 hours of community service in National Charity League.
Hey guys, so i’ve been reading through this thread for a while now. I wanted to know if anyone has heard from Jackson yet. I’m applying for Geosciences and my GPA is a 3.55 but with this semester just ending, it’s at a 3.65 now. With this semester, i’m at 57 hours. I guess I’m just looking for feed back. Congrats to everyone who made it in so far! Waiting for acceptances to come out is the WORST.
Check out the list I just posted a few pages ahead @DrRockScientist
@Newsie2015 So I have heard from different places that since the Jackson School is so small that it is super hard to get into. However, I have also heard that it is easy to get into. I guess i’m also asking if anyone knows the acceptance rate of that school and how difficult it is to transfer into since different sources are saying different things.
From what I’ve read on this thread and the last year’s thread. Jackson has a low acceptance rate. Unfortunatley there aren’t very many (if any) sources that list the GPA breakdown and acceptance rate by school
To those who have already been accepted, did you get an email saying that your status changed, or did you just randomly check your status and found out that it changed there?
@Newsie2015 are you also a transfer applicant? Just curious. Thanks for your help! Really appreciate it
My English teacher forgot to grade an assignment that I emailed her. She put a 0 is for my midterm and it dropped me from A (100) to a B and lowering my Gpa. I emailed her today and she found it an will grade it. Does anyone know when the transcripts from UTA will release? I thought it was today.
@DestineeMoreh do you know?
@dimsumtakeout yup I’m applying to Moody for RTF and i’m CAP.
Hey I am from UNT too!!
