SS interview required?

I sincerely doubt that 11,000 kids apply to summer seminar. If you could provide me with a link to that I would really appreciate it. I am thinking it is more like 3500-4000…which would make for a 50 percent acceptance rate.

i think that the 11,000 was referring to the total number of applicants to the Academy.

vcm2007 - also have your offical GPA and your class size, and an updated list of your ECs and awards will make it easier to fill out the application quickly.

ok, thanks

peskemom, Interesting–we’ll talk later about her experience. (My mid was only interested in USNA/NROTC.) Although, USAFA is in a stunning location for us skiers/snowboarders (daughter). By the way, 2006 Navy/Air Force football game is in Colorado.

If I remember correctly, USAFA conducts an interview prior to their summer program.

Janell had no prior AFA interview for Summer Seminar. In fact - she applied Jan. 1st and by Jan. 3rd last year in her email box she learned she was accepted.

By the way, Janell wrote an 8 page report, mostly for her own interest, comparing her USNA/USAFA Summer Seminar experiences. I am convinced this was a factor in her LOA. She wrote it to answer all her family and friends questions…and forwarded on a copy to her BGO. He was so impressed, he forwarded it on to the San Diego Regional BGO. Less than a week later, her NASS Squad Leader emails her that USNA Admissions got a copy and called the Squad Leader to tell him about it!

We only learned at the USS Peleliu reception on Dec. 27th that it truly was the regional director who forwarded on this analysis to USNA Admissions…

If anyone is interested, send me a private email, I’ll forward it on to you.
