St. Paul's School Concord NH

From the 2/28/11 “Winter Trustee Meeting” News:

“[Rector Matthews] also conveyed his excitement about the Lindsay Center for Mathematics and Science, now under construction, but reported that it is now expected to open for use by the next Winter Term, not the Fall, as previously anticipated.”

Given the way most construction projects go, not entirely surprising.

BTW, does anyone know how much snow the school received in this week’s NE storm?

What storm? All we’ve had in southern NH is rain - and plenty of it! The concern at the moment is flooding, not snow!

@dodgersmom: We got pounded with rain here (mid-Atlantic) too, but I had seen on the news that VT got 30+ inches of snow from the same system.

Somewhere online I saw video of flooding at SPS a few years back that looked fairly bad. And apparently there’s another storm coming this week…keeping fingers crossed that you all are spared the worst of it.

Hopefully, the flood cannot happen again, but yes it was AMAZING!!! They said it was a 100 year event, but since then they rebuilt the Library Pond dam so that it can release more water faster if it is needed. I wanted them to build a hydroelectric generator, but in typical government fashion they turned down the SPS application. On the one hand we want clean energy, but on the other we do not want to build dams (even though there is one). Ah well our first sacrifice is often common sense.

I hope some of you will share your news good, bad or uncertain. So if you love SPS as much as many of us do, let us know how you are feeling today. Were you admitted, rejected or waitlisted?

I was waitlisted. :(

Rejected, and I believe this has something to do with the yield. But I do like SPS.

Rejected. Now just waiting on Andover, Milton and Nobles.

D was denied.

Son was accepted to the class of 2015.
