I’m in! :)

I’m in! :)

yay! more atheists than i thought! :P

I am most definately up for playing Ultimate Frisbee…every day. forever.

Haha, ultimate frisbee is a definite sport to play in college, especially on Stanford’s beautiful campus.

Oh, and I’m a 2014 applicant from sunny South Carolina. I’m applying as a bio major/prospective pre-med student =P.

“And is anyone up for forming a band? I play guitar and drums, so I’ll happily take one of those spots.”

I might be into that! I’ve wanted to be a singer for a band for a while. However, I’m not sure our musical tastes match up. “fusion/neoclassical stuff involving rock mixed with classical instruments” sounds like it could be cool, but I’ve never really heard it. I mainly love country, teen pop, and 50’s/60’s oldies. Haha.

Haha, I play guitar, and I’ve been learning how to record/mix, so that could work well for us!

^Yeah! What kind of music do you like?

Stanford app was definitely most fun, well maybe tied with NYU…

^ Yes it was. I heard that the NYU app was fun too, but I didn’t apply. What sort of questions did it ask?

I know one of them was “What famous New Yorker would you like to spend a day with, and what would you do with him/her in New York?” If I applied, I was going to talk about Walt Whitman…we’d travel the city, writing poems about the fascinating sights it has to offer, and we’d protest biphobia with the New York Area Bisexual Network! Haha.

Now you and my daughter could get together to sing! This is her primary music genre. And, she’s really acquired a fondness for country the last several months. I’m actually listening to it more now, as a result! :)

Ooh, wait…which is her primary music genre? Teen pop or oldies?

@Eiffel - All sorts of stuff ranging from jazz fusion to metal. Really anything that requires a decent amount of skill to play.

Hmmmm… She seems to listen to such a variety. Lately it seems to be a lot of country, although I do hear popular Top 10 songs coming out of her room, too. For awhile, after seeing Across the Universe, I heard a lot of Beatles. But, I know she also likes other oldies. And, since she’s in the concert and jazz choirs at school, those genres are totally different than what you’ll find in her iPod.

I only play the violin, albeit not very good. Not really a band instrument–although I did play for a cover of Viva la Vida with my friends. :)
