Stanford ACT Score-Reporting

Hi! I had a question about self-reporting ACT scores. To my understanding, the highest composite score means the highest score from one sitting however on the Stanford website they urge you to “report the calculated ACT super score in addition to your highest section scores.” This made me think that they wanted us to report our super score for our highest composite score. Would I report my super score of 35 there or my highest result from one single test (34 as I did on the common app section where we were asked this). Thank you!

Highest Composite Score: << I am referring to this section.

Highest English Score

Highest Math Score

Highest Reading Score

Highest Science Reasoning Score

  • For the ACT, you may report the calculated ACT superscore in addition to your highest section scores.
    • The ACT’s optional science section is also optional for Stanford’s application process. We will accept scores from both the original and redesigned versions of the ACT.

So use the super score - you have it in your post - but it’s also the first line here in my post.

Additionally, list each highest section and include science if you want.

If science isn’t in the superscore, don’t add it - use what ACT provided - but list the section score if you desire to.

You put in your highest composite score from one sitting, just like the common app directions say. Do not put in your composite superscore in this field. Colleges can calculate the superscore with the highest section score info.

If you want to comminate your composite superscore on your Stanford app put it in additional info.
