<p>EAST!!! My school is in San Francisco and we have gotten 3/45 girls who applied into Stanford since 2000, compared to 3/21 for Harvard, 4/16 to Princeton or 3/13 for Yale.</p>
<p>The difference is that some qualified people from the east coast apply to Stanford. EVERYONE from the west does, and Stanford, like every school, wants geographic diversity.</p>
