People–these rankings you are giving are for students between the 25th and 75th percentiles, not all students. When you back out the many athletes, URMs, staff kids, legacies and the rich and connected, the average student being admitted without one of those hooks is at or above the top of the ranges given.

<p>Not true. At least completely unhooked 3 people from my school (an average public school) have been admitted with SAT’s around 2050.</p>
