I’d still send the email, and do the form if you have anything to add along with the STS semifinalist status. If you send the email, they will attach the info to your file. Also, since they look at the list, I’m assuming they automatically scan applicants for name matches. STS is prestigious enough for colleges to make special note (as in inside of their database). They’re not relying on memory.
