Rejected! No expectation of acceptance so no hard feelings. Maybe grad school
Accepted Got a super tough choice to make now… Either way, I’m interested to know how we can access that FA info as well.
Stanford Daily (student newspaper) had this article on admissions – another record high applicant pool and record low acceptance rate. And expanded financial aid. Congrats to all those who got in!
@nobody426 tryna post your stats?
woohoo accepted!!!
Only 5.05 percent of applicants were admitted this year: http://www.stanforddaily.com/2015/03/27/admit-rates-dip-slightly-for-class-of-2019-stanford-expands-financial-aid/
Congrats if you got in, and keep your head up if you didn’t – there’s a lot of other great schools out there!
yup can’t log in with SUNet id either
@vozvratsaa OMG HAHA SO DONE WITH PRINCETON
Accepted. Kinda surprised actually.
Accepted!!! In shock, I don’t think it’s really hit me. Can we view FA yet?
This is the best day of my life. I got accepted to Stanford!!! I found this amazingly shocking because I got waitlisted at some other schools that were not nearly as competitive. Here is how I have done so far:

ACT (Single-sitting): Composite 34 (E 35 M 34 R 31 S 34 E/W 33)
SAT II: Math 2, Physics - 770
GPA: 4.86 UW/3.94 W
SUBJECTIVE STATS:
Recommendation 1 - My math teacher. I was her best student. I know that she wrote an awesome letter. 9/10
Recommendation 2 - My physics teacher. I worked really hard in the class. I spent a lot of extra time studying and I am the only person at my school to take a higher level physics course. I think she wrote a pretty good letter of rec. 9/10
Recommendation 3 - My theatre teacher. I have spent hundreds of hours outside of school doing theatre stuff with my teacher. I have been taking his class since I was in 7th grade. I read his letter and it was really good. 10/10
Common App Essay - I wrote this about how I failed to ride a bike, but eventually learned. It sounds really cliche and stupid, but this is the essay that I am most proud of. I spent more time working on this essay than any other one. 10/10
Stanford Supplements - I made sure that these short essays were pretty thoughtful. They weren’t necessarily my best work. I wrote about how I am so curious that my questions sometimes drive my teachers crazy. I wrote a weird roommate letter about my name. And I wrote an short essay about my belief in God. Altogether, about 8/10

COMMENTS:
I am really quite shocked of my acceptance. I am extremely delighted. I am definitely enrolling at Stanford.
My d just got the email of her dreams…admitted!!
9 college acceptances, YES!! …but denied by Stanford, LOL. Oh well, that’s life. (Accepted to first choice school, that’s all that matters). Congrats to all who managed to get in! To the many other rejectees out there: no worries. You are still awesome! I firmly believe there is a great place out there for everyone; so if you didn’t get it, it probably wasn’t meant to be. Your life will still be ok, and you will find your place in this world without Stanford.
Daughter was accepted! She didn’t think she had a chance but WOW! She confided that this was her first choice so she is going!
I want to make another comment related to the college process in general. As exciting as it is to get into the school of your dreams, a school cannot define you. You are still the person you were before you got accepted or rejected from a school. So, an application decision cannot define who you are. If you are on this forum, shooting for the goal of getting into Stanford or any other top tier institution, you are already likely an amazing human being. No rejection letter can dictate a sentiment otherwise. I believe that are many places that a person is “meant” to go to. Wherever you go is the right place. You can make the best of your situation, wherever you end up going, because you are already an amazing person. Best luck to those who were accepted or rejected or waitlisted by Stanford, or any other university. Keep you chin up regardless of what happens and focus on your amazingness, not what the one-page decision letter that a college sends to you.
@Ambitious19 CONGRATS!!! I’m so excited for you!!!
@DL43516 I’ve been seeing you often on the threads and just wanted to congratulate you too!!! (Unless there’s someone else with the same Rihanna picture) Congrats!!!
My D. was denied acceptance to Stanford. I was hoping to keep her in SF Bay Area, but it didn’t happen. I am still wondering, if she has acceptances to Princeton, UCLA, UCSD, UCD and waitlisted at MIT and UC Berkeley, should I try to make her stay in Bay Area, if she gets a place in UC Berkeley? Or it’s pretty selfish of me if she can go to Princeton?
@Homeless2Harvard thank you so much!! And yes, I believe I’m the only one with this avi lol. Congrats on your decisions as well, I see you on here all the time!
Omg @calliemoon11 congrats!!! Actually, congrats to everyone who was admitted so happy for you guys
omg greatest day of my life #accepted
