hopefully like 5000
@SingHar17 Following the trend from previous years, there should be slightly more than 8000.
I’m going to guess that the acceptance rate will be 9%!
lol
@itfollows2014 Just finished the second draft of my HL Physics EE! Yay
What IB classes are you taking and how do your predicted scores look? The IBDP will def help.
@alr33zy I feel we might’ve gotten upto 8500 this year, to be quite honest. (Bad for us, lol).
Edit: HAPPY HUNDRED PAGES OF ANXIETY, FRUSTRATION, NERVOUSNESS, SOLIDARITY, AND EXCITEMENT! Wishing you all the best, I’ll be overjoyed for anyone of you who gets accepted or deferred.
happy 100 <3 i hope we all get in altho that wont happen
100 cheers for 100 college confidential acceptances XD
@alr33zy ahhh hope we both get through EEs and REA decisions!!! My HLs are Econ, English Literature, and Chemistry while my SLs are Math, French B and Physics. I got a 6 in SL Math and 6 in French, and I didn’t submit my predicted grades since my teachers never gave them idk. Would it hurt my application for not submitting predicted marks? But I’d say I’m at a 7 for Econ and English, a 6 in Physics and a 5 in Chemistry (ouch). How about you?
Hopefully theres like 900 REA applicants lmao. Honestly there needs to be more schools that are stanford/ivy tier. So many qualified students that could handle all the rigor of those schools get rejected due to the competitiveness.
are we absolutely sure decisions are coming in tomorrow at 3 PM? where did that info come from?
Is stanford going to email us at 3 pm or do we look at the portal
@futuredoc99 I’m pretty sure looking at the portal is usually faster, but don’t take my word for it
@applicant34003 admissions.stanford.edu
@futuredoc99 You’ll get an email asking you to check the portal, but we all know it comes out at 3pm, so you can go directly to the portal link at 3pm PST.
how much does sat weigh in on your application
@Manreet are you serious asking that at this moment?
FYI, everything is equally weighed. Don’t worry too much. All is well.
@itfollows2014 I’m at a private French school and was therefore placed in the Bilingual IBDP – English and French are both taught at the “A” level. My HLs are Physics (7), Math (7), English Lang&Lit A (6), while my SLs are History (7 I think), Biology (7), and French Lang&Lit A (6).
My school is so incredibly small - my grade has 35 students, most of which are in the French Baccalaureate program. And get this, I’m one of the 7 students in my IB class. What stinks is that my school doesn’t offer many courses for the IBDP (I’d love to take Econ and Compsci)
Consequently, I’ve slowly grown into an autodidact over the years I don’t think I’d give up the uniqueness of the little French school for more courses though; it’s been an awesome experience.
Hey everyone, again good luck tomorrow! Whatever the result, I hope you all are impressed that you’ve come this far since all of you are good if not great candidates for Stanford.
If you get deferred, note that you will get a final decision come April–Stanford’s policy doesn’t allow you to be deferred and then waitlisted (unlike MIT/Ivies and whatnot), so even though it will seem like a long wait, its a fixed period of time.
Also the admissions website might crash…the CS department’s servers crashed when people were trying to sign up for sections so honestly it wouldn’t surprise me at all if the website does crash because of the number of applicants even though Stanford is especially known for CS and engineering
Sorry, just wanted to steal the 1500th comment good luck all!!!
I am so unbelievably nervous
