Reflection:
Strengths- My ECs were good, should have been enough to get me in. Were they slap you in the face great? No, but they were enough to get me in (at least 50th percentile at Stanford). My academics are great, I am also a NMS. Stanford is an academic institution, not a sports team or record label so that should I gotten me pretty far.
Weaknesses- I’m seriously not bragging here but I won’t say my application is weak in any way. I am confident enough to say it should get me in to any school with a fair, legitimate admissions process. Do I think I’m better than everyone else? Hell no! But I know my friend’s applications and I know mine and I would be lying to you if I said I thought my application wasn’t 99+ percentile among all the 12th graders’ this year. Is it the best? No, but 99+ percentile or I’m a liar.

Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected- I am a WASP. I do not share Stanford’s politics in any way. Basically, I got rejected because I am white, male, and not dirt poor.

General Comments: A note for all you other white males out there (there’s a lot but not at Stanford): https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/the-myth-of-american-meritocracy/
