My sonā€™s doesnā€™t show mid year report either. It says on common app that it was downloaded by the school but it never showed up on the portalā€¦I just assumed they werenā€™t going to put it on there but now Iā€™m wondering how many other people have it showing on their portal? If you email let me know what they say! :pray:t2:

Itā€™s not there for us either. They said they donā€™t list that when I asked them.

My son emailed them a couple of weeks ago and they replied by saying itā€™s received but it never appeared on his portal :smiling_face_with_tear:. His friend from the same school has the midyear report on his checklistā€¦ thatā€™s why I was wondering about it.

My son didnā€™t either. We are from Illinois. There was a student accepted to Stanford from another school in the district. We arenā€™t holding out much hope since its no uncommon not to have any student get in from our district. 2 would be unheard of.

My son applied EA. He didnā€™t get an interview, but was deferred to RD. He did not get an interview during the RD phase. We are from Illinois.

Stanford is very clear that not getting an interview (or even promptly declining after being offered an interview) ā€œwill not negatively impact your admission decisionā€. See the FAQ Will declining or not receiving an interview reflect negatively on my application?

I did also check with several counselors and they all confirmed the same (our public school usually gets 3 to 5 admits each year, so they hopefully would know). The general consensus was there is a small chance that it may help a little bit if the interview goes exceptionally well and a small chance it will hurt you if the interviewer thinks you are a jerk. But the vast majority of the time it makes no difference even if you are interviewed.

Exactly, I wouldnā€™t give too much consideration if one got an interview or not. In fact even the interviewer made it very clear in their email that if the student wishes to deny the interview it would have no impact on their application.

My son and his friends looked through online posts from past yearsā€¦ it seems that for those who didnā€™t see the midyear report on their portal got rejected :cry::cry::cry:

I did see another person say the same as @Parent-in-Georgia said, that they contacted school and were told they donā€™t track. So who knows? Also while there were people who said they didnā€™t have it, I couldnā€™t find kids that were accepted stating they DID have itā€¦:sweat_smile:
