I got deferred as well lol I kind of donât know how I feel
Any white ppl in here who got accepted/deferred who doesnât have legacy or didnât pay in? This is me but I got rejected lol. Curious to see what it takes to get in
I got an interview in Atlanta. Didnât help still got rejected
Does anyone know how you find out how your essays and recommendations are scored as seen on the stat page? Thanks!
They are simply the applicantâs best guess; itâs really a pointless number
While this is true, I also believe that midway through freshman year Stanford freshmen are allowed to see the comments their application received by the AOs. Whether this applies to recommenders though, I am unsure.
Yes, but it does not apply to applicants who were just accepted, And the AO notes will not conform to the scoring on the results thread.
Yeah I just looked at my notes from the application. Some whack stuff ngl.
Also rejected But itâs okay! God has a plan for us!
@GoBears2023 I followed your journey last year. Can you elaborate on what you mean by âsome whack stuffâ?
Accepted!
As a white female, I was deferred. I am nowhere close to being a legacy (both of my parents went to small state schools). Also, my parents could never pay my way into a college like Stanford. But I believe I was deferred because my SAT is low in regards to Stanford, but I did represent myself as authentically as I could (maybe they saw some potential?). Regardless, the college admission process seems like a crapshoot, you need the stars to align. ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
They highlighted a lot of the stuff I didnât really think was super outstanding. Rather than my research, they liked my weird personal anecdotes and gave me some negative comments for my startup incubator.
