Actually, Stanford is ranked in the top 5 across all broad disciplines and nearly always ahead of Princeton: humanities, arts, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, and health sciences. Stanford always outranks Princeton in the humanities. For example, most recently Stanford came in #1 in the world for humanities, ahead of even Harvard.
