Now that the AP US Gov test is over it is time to really start getting all of the Statistics information in my brain for tomorrow’s exam. Good luck to everyone else who is studying for this one :)

Had an A in the class all year long but understand probably 10% of the stuff.

Why? Teacher totally sucks, but I’m hoping I can pull a 3!

Does anyone have the 1997 released stat exam? I would like to have a stab at it before tomorrow. :)

I am hoping for a 4 so I can pass out of Stat 221. I have to take that class in college if I get lower than a 4. I don’t even care whether I get a 5 or not at this point; a 4 is just as good to me.

^Look over the review packet!

The released exams can be downloaded at testfrenzy.com

The review packet link is in the review packets thread on the AP Exams area.

I got the inference notes and those will probably save my life. I will be taking practice exams for the rest of the day now.

byubound, are you a senior? I looked at your profile and saw class of 2016. :)

Yes, I am a senior. That year takes into account my two-year mission in Argentina starting this summer.

wow, just slap me in the head. as a Mormon myself, i should know this stuff Dx

Seriously, I’m not too bothered by the stats exam. Our teacher has been grading our tests like AP FR from day 1, so I’m very confident in how he taught us. I have two other tests this week, so I’m crazy. XD

I’m pretty confident about the test tomorrow…I think the only thing I need to get better is experimental design. Those questions just really seem to bug me; I guess they require too much common sense on my part!

Does anyone know roughly what percent of the exam you need correct for a 5?

You need 68 on the test to get a 5. Well, that’s a good approximate.

Here’s a link that might help everybody prepare for the test:

[Advanced Placement (AP*) Statistics Practice Exam](<a href=“AP Statistics Practice Test”>AP Statistics Practice Test)

According to the AP Score Calculator, you need about 75% of the MC to be right and average 3/4 on the FRQs to barely squeeze by with a 5.

Feels like all the AP gov people switched to this thread lol. Good luck everyone!

Yup, we’re all focused on the next day’s test. Tomorrow we will talk about how we thought the Stat test went and then switch to the Calculus thread, for those taking two maths :)

Well, I for one am divided between the CS and Stats threads. (Took Gov this morning, but didn’t study or stress about it.)

I finished calc last year so I’ll miss out on that and I didn’t post much in gov, but I definitely have to cram for a 5 on this one!

I feel stats is the kind of exam where you lose if you mess up because it’s not like anything’s difficult.

^Yes, it is definitely a exam where things can go horribly wrong even if it is not that difficult. That is why I have a few worries for tomorrow.

Luckily I finished calculus last year too - my next exam is on friday.

Oh, and could you guys clarify just one thing: I know that Chi-Square Tests of Independence and Homogeneity are run in basically the exact same way, but what are the keywords in the problem that indicate which test it actually is? I know the AP graders want you to be able to identify the test, and this is what’s giving me the most trouble.

Thank You =)

Look for the word “independent” for independence or “the same” for homogeneity.
