Most kids think Stern is super mysterious and secretive, it’s kind of funny.

We have our own buildings, and if it weren’t for the fact that a couple CAS classes get taught in the UC and LC floors, almost no one not in Stern would even be in there. We have our own computer labs, and the non-Sternies who used to go in there can’t anymore because you need a Stern netID to log in. My one friend got SO heated about it last year, it was funny. If you’re not in Stern and you have a class in our building, you need to go through this drawn-out process of getting wireless activated on your laptop. We have our own (generous, or at least used to be) printing allowance, lounges, computing facilities, email address (only undergrad school to have an entirely separate network), endowment (this makes people so mad), and other stuff . . . people think we’re aloof elitists. It’s funny.
