<p>Hi! I’m going to NYU Stern next year as a Freshman. I’m starting to organize my schedule but I am having issues… On this page (<a href=“http://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admissions/undergraduate/new-students/freshmen/plan-business-program/plan-schedule/index.htm[/url]”>http://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admissions/undergraduate/new-students/freshmen/plan-business-program/plan-schedule/index.htm</a>) it says I have to take the following: </p>
<ol>
<li>Cohort Leadership Project course (0 units)</li>
<li>a Writing course (4 units)</li>
<li>a Math course (4 units)</li>
<li>either a Texts & Ideas OR Cultures & Contexts/Global Cultures course (4 units)</li>
<li>a Microeconomics*, Statistics, or Science course, or Elective (4–6 units) </li>
</ol>
<p>My problem is with point 5. I want to take Spanish as an elective. If I take Spanish, what happens to the 3 others ? Will I have to take them at some point ?</p>
<p>Also, I see there are Spanish courses with 4 and 6 credits. I love it so I am willing to take the 6 credit one. Is this a bad idea?</p>
<p>It just sounds weird that I’m in a Business school, but in the end I only take one Math class! </p>
<p>This is what my schedule looks like right now:</p>
<p>Monday
• 11.00 AM - 12.15 PM Spanish
• 3.30 PM - 4.45 PM Maths (Calculus I)</p>
<p>Tuesday
• 11.00 AM - 12.15 PM Spanish
• 2.00 PM - 3.15 PM Writing The Essay</p>
<p>Wednesday
• 3.30 PM - 4.45 PM Maths (Calculus I)</p>
<p>Thursday
• 11.00 AM - 12.15 PM Spanish
• 2.00 PM - 3.15 PM Writing The Essay
• 3.30 PM - 4.45 PM Cultures and Context</p>
<p>Friday
• 1:00pm–2:30pm Cohort</p>
<p>Is this what it is supposed to look like ? Or am I missing stuff ? :)</p>
