Darn it, paywall…

A couple more stocking stuffers. Didn’t want to spring for the fancy food thermometer but thought this had good reviews and a good price for youngest daughter KIZEN Digital Meat Thermometer with Probe - Instant Read Food Thermometer for Cooking, Grilling, BBQ, Baking, Liquids, Candy, Deep Frying, and More - Black/White https://a.co/d/incxfX9

These were popular last year with my girls - and me! For lighting candles without a match

Merry Christmas! :wink::christmas_tree::gift:

My son also really likes his electronic candle lighter. A great stocking stuffer!

Thanks for the gift link @MAmomto4 . I forget about the paywall since they allow (or used to) a limited number of free articles for registered users without a subscription. You saved the day!

I’ve gifted my kids several similar type items on the list.

Prep bowls were a huge hit. I had gotten a set from Williams-Sonoma (back then I think it was 12 similar sized bowls). I bought a box and split them between my two kids.

It was great when my son said he loved them…and his roommate wanted them…because it was so useful for salsa/dips/etc. He said they used them all the time. Frankly, I do too.

Edited to add: I just realized the serrated paring knife is one of the gifts I got for my kids this year AND I’m gifting a food funnel/strainer. Last year they got a set of three Kuhn Rikon peelers.

Thank you for the rechargeable lighter recommendation. I’ve just ordered them for 3 keen campers.
My granddaughter, age 9, has recently told her mother that she hopes that Santa will not leave satsumas in her stocking this year. Request noted!

Are any of the electric lighters sold by Amazon rather than a third party?

Can you use this electric lighter thingy to light things like a charcoal grill? Or to burn a piece of paper for a charcoal chimney…or light a gas grill?

Mine is a little “flame”. You could light a piece of paper no problem, but I don’t want to vouch for the other things like lighting a grill!!! We have used it for decorative candles (like in a jar or votives or whatever) and birthday candles.

The one posted by @abasket and this one I got my son are both sold by third party but fulfilled by Amazon. I always think that’s the most important thing

Here’s a link to the funnel I bought.

While the funnel is good, I really appreciate the strainer. I use it regularly for rinsing frozen blueberries for my overnight oats. The size is perfect for me.

Just ordered Harry Potter Golden Snitch hot chocolate bombs from Williams Sonoma (they have other types as well).

Gave that cat spoon rest to my DiL 2 years ago. I use it a lot!

I like those mini spatulas, although the ones linked are now sold out in the non-black colors. My husband who recently insulted my much loved palm vegetable peeler will be getting a “normal peeler” in his stocking, for the once or twice a year he peels vegetables.

Any last-minute stocking stuffer ideas for a hubby who cooks all the meals (and would view kitchen gifts as a personal insult)?
He rides motorcycles, that’s his main passion. Plus hunting (with a flintlock only).
It’s tough to find things for a stocking, though!

I put alcohol in my (adult) kids stocking. Often a bottle of wine but this year I got some pre-made bottles of aperol spritz for a change of pace.

Those premade aperol sprtiz are terrific - we drink them all the time!
