for anyone who got deferred, out of curiosity, does your portal still annoyingly show the āyou have applied for EA considerationā and then just hasnāt been updated?? itās bothering meā¦
Yes ā¦ it still seems to be stuck at EA phase. Of all the colleges, EA decision has been weird. it did not say deferred in the email but rather updated to regular decision. My guess is that they could not handle the application volume and concerned about yield and over enrollmentā¦ so they deferred a lot to give them some time for internal assessment

Same here. Portal still says āAwaiting Decisionā and email does not indicate deferred either. It just says, moved to RD.
Kid got into RPI Mech Eng with decent merit aid yesterday that puts it within our affordable range. It is now his second choice after Pitt Eng School . Also accepted Penn State and RIT (with merit aid). He was highly interested in Stony Brook which was his second choice but I guess no longer. We would have appreciated a firm Yes or No or waitlist instead of punting it to RD after having applied in first week of Oct. Still waiting on a few moreā¦ Good Luck to all those waiting from EA.

Yes - it seems that theyāre not updating this at all. I got deferred during the first round of EA decisions and mine still says āapplied for EA considerationā. The only change to my portal is the addition of mid-year grades on the checklist. Very annoying.

Itās just really confusing. They ask for my t-shirt size, so I get my hopes up, and then I get a deferred email at 7PM.
Thatās just cruel.

Anyone hear about honors - my DS just told me she was accepted into WISE but no more scholarship. Wondering if that will come later or if it should already be on her portal.

We heard from our AO that the next set of results will be in at least 2 batches-- one at the end of February and the next one at the end of March. It is most likely EA deferrals will hear at the end of Feb. Thought to share for those still waiting.

did anyone receive " Complete Your Advising Planning Form " ? Is this too early ? At what stage is sent by AO and filled by student ? TIA
