Student Debt Advice

Are you instate for U Mich? I thought it meets all need for instate students?

UM meets need (but they do use Profile) - but I don’t think they include housing for someone with a non-Pell-eligible EFC (I could be wrong, though). This student might get a nice grant to meet average tuition cost. However, they will still need to cover housing, which can be very expensive in Ann Arbor. If they are commuting distance to UM-Dearborn, that could be an affordable option.

Other schools could end up giving scholarships, as well - I don’t think WSU gives them this early. That is why I think the OP needs to make sure all scholarships that could be applied for are applied for, then hang on & see what happens.

My kids didn’t make their decisions until April.
