Student Murdered in her apartment

I am I current student (you might remember me from last semester), and I think most of you are exaggerating too. The past nine months have been the worst in the school’s history, and no matter what the media says this is not a regular.

For all future students, my advice is just to stay in groups of 2 or more. Never walk alone during dark hours (this is true for most places, but obvious for baltimore). The campus itself is very safe, and will be even more after the “prison style fortification”.

And just for clarification the reason why students didn’t go to the inner harbor, was because there wasn’t a constant (free) source of transportation. The “CollegeTown” shuttle has improved it’s route by including the Inner Harbor and Penn Station adding to the exit at Towson. The shuttle is only for students (JHU and other baltimore colleges) and is totally free.

when i visited my brother this past october at jhu i felt completely comfortable. we walked outside of the campus at 1am and i didn’t feel unsafe for a second. You have to realize that there are plenty of kids walking around the jhu neighborhood, as long as you’re with someone else you’re fine. i still applied there this year and these murders aren’t discouraging me at all…they could happen anywhere.
