I guess the country needs to demand that the Bush family change their name. Schoolchildren should not be traumatized by exposure to this. Textbooks and all government and news documents from the past few decades will need to be revised.
What about people with the last name of “Black”, as in Shirley Temple Black, who are not black? How can they call themselves “Black” when they’re not? Cultural appropriation, no? I see no end to this idiocy…
Not only that, if your last name is Johnson (or Robinson, or other -son), isn’t that reducing your heritage to the male line only? How can you go through life named Mary Johnson if you’re indeed a daughter?
