Student's don't study anymore?

I know some people who can remember almost everything taught in lectures and therefore don’t need to study that much because they can easily recall what they remember when it comes to tests. However, people like that are far and few in between. I was kind of like that in one of my Japanese courses, but that was because my childhood years of reading Japanese history books from the library paid off. I don’t study much on subjects I deem an easy breeze (although I will take a quick glance through my notes before an exam), but when it comes to subjects I find difficult like math and science, that’s when I start studying my butt off because I know I’m terrible in those subjects.

Correlation does not imply causation. I’d bet that students involved in Greek life are more likely than average to come from high-income backgrounds and are more likely to be full-time students, both of which probably act to improve graduation rates.

Not that there’s anything wrong with Greek life. But the argument that joining a frat will increase success in school for a given student is IMO not supported by the data.
