Yasha/Josh/ NJTheatreMOM,

I had concerns as well about voice lessons for my daughter. She was an Adler student. She loves straight theatre, however, I love her voice and wanted her to continue with her lessons.

It was through a correspondence with Dean Campbell where we noted my daughters previous training and voice type that we got a list of teachers. My daughter was able to research and write to each one to find someone that she was comfortable with and the price was far below NYC prices. (My daughter went that route Freshman year.)

It was the best thing that could have happened to my daughter. She built a great relationship with her teacher who became a mentor. (She even let my daughter perform with her.) She even wrote recommendations and post graduation, my daughter is still going to voice lessons with the same teacher.

I should note that all the recommended voice teachers were NYU faculty.
