<p>clay, I think you are asking the right and smart questions to ask. I agree with Susan that Strasberg is a fine studio for an MT not placed in CAP21, but you are right about private voice as an elective being seniority based. I know several freshmen who wanted to take private voice this year who are on the waitlist but didn’t get to do it. Having to pay for voice lessons outside of NYU and in New York is going to be expensive, on top of tuition. I don’t say this to be discouraging: heck, my D is at NYU/Tisch and cannot imagine being anywhere else. But I do think it behooves you to carefully weigh your offers, costs involved, and so on so you make the best decision possible.</p>
