Study: Freshmen Women Use Media 12 Hours per Day

<p>For what it’s worth, I see a lot more groups of guys sitting around my school playing WoW and other MMORPG’s. I think WoW is what they’re playing. I’m not a gamer…so…I have no idea. Regardless, I don’t really every see any girls sitting around with laptops playing games.</p>

<p>I probably see guys texting about as much as girls…girls perhaps a little bit more. It’s quite common to see a guy and a girl sitting together and not talking though, because they’re both buried in their phones.</p>

<p>Well, this generation is stereotyped to be avid media users, so I feel like people are more inclined to report that they use it that much, perhaps even more than they actually do. I probably don’t use media that much, but I’d probably still report “12 hours” just because I feel like it’s appropriate.</p>
