Suggest schools for a picky student

It’s becoming more and more popular for colleges to have aerial equipment and programs. I think most (if not all) of the in-house programs are geared more to the amateur level, though there is often a pro or a near-pro among the students who teaches and mentors others. At the Claremont Colleges, there’s a circus club called 5Circus - among the leaders is a world-class performer/competitor in German Wheel. The club owns its own aerial rig, and in addition, the Roberts Pavilion at CMC has aerial equipment now too. There’s also a private facility in Claremont Village where 5C’s students can take aerial classes for PE credit. (It’s very nice but doesn’t have as high a ceiling as you’d need for pro-level techniques.) I didn’t mention this initially because I don’t think any of it is at the level OP is looking for, and while something pro-level probably exists in LA, it’s most likely not in a practical location for regular training, coming from Claremont. Nonetheless, there is probably someplace in the greater LA area where academics, arts scene, and aerial training could be found in acceptable proximity. (Also, there’s a top-notch Art Conservation major at Scripps, if the chemistry-heavy side of the museum-curator path appeals.)

UC San Diego also has an aerial program on-site. I just think it’s probably primarily at PE class level. Boston University has multiple levels of aerial classes at their FitRec center too. And so on. Perhaps it’s helpful if a school has such on-site facilities as a supplement, as long as a higher level of training is available nearby as well.
