When I first used the app for all night I was wondering what it’d do battery-wise and whether it’d run down after a few hours but it actually did well - ran all night and only used a part of the charge.

It was also plenty loud. I had it on the night stand next to me and didn’t have it anywhere near full volume.

It’s amazing how many uses a smartphone has - besides actually talking to people.

The other trick is to reach across your head with the opposite hand and pull your ear lobe UP while inserting the ear plug.

I’ve been sleeping with these every night for about 20 years (initially to deal with snoring) and I bet I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had one fall out overnight. Now, I’m used to them and I just sleep better.

I had to get a super loud alarm clock.

I ordered a sample pack of just about every available ear plug to find out which ones were effective and comfortable under a motorcycle helmet. These things were much better than anything else.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions!! Package is on its way to her: one Marpac machine, one 20-piece set of Leight earplugs and one down feather-bed. Total damage $110, a good night’s sleep: priceless :)

perhaps I should have included the Sonic Boom alarm?
